Máximo Kirchner revealed why he never held an executive position: "There were other tasks to do."

The national deputy of the Union for the Fatherland (UxP) party, Máximo Kirchner, revealed why he never sought an executive position like his father and mother, who were presidents of the Argentine Republic and, previously, were in charge of the province of Santa Cruz and more recently in the mayor's office of Río Gallegos , within their extensive political career.

" It was never offered to me ," admitted the son of former President Cristina Kirchner , who was precisely asked: "Why didn't you do something similar to what your old man did, who was mayor? I'm not saying you don't deal with those issues, but as governor of Santa Cruz, you obviously have the experience," Daniel Tognetti posed to Canal Red Lationamérica.

Regarding this, Máximo Kirchner responded: "There were times when that was imagined, but there were other tasks to be done , and that was decided by the leadership, Cristina . When someone goes and says, 'Our intention would be to do this or that, even if we lose the first election, we have the capacity to do this, this, and this,' and then there are responsibilities in the general political situation," he indicated.

However, he revealed that he had been offered the opportunity to work alongside Sergio Massa under Alberto Fernández's administration. "At some point , Sergio, when the change at the Ministry of Economy came, told me about the possibility of someone joining, and I told him, 'Look, I just left the bloc leadership; it wouldn't do much good to join the ministry. I'm going to help from here,'" he admitted.

Continuing the interview, the deputy president of the Justicialist Party (PJ) of Buenos Aires took aim at the head of state. "He's the president, and he always holds sway at the center of gravity of a country. He's a product that was generated over time; he's like the highest stage of Macriism or the Argentine right . Regarding the way things are done, for Cristina, with 1.3% of what the president does or says, the world would come crashing down or there would be pot-banging," he asserted.

"It's part of a corrosive process that Argentine society is undergoing. Perhaps if he were a more dramatic president and handled it well, he would also be comfortable with the danger that comes with behaving in a certain way. What once seemed good and funny, when the economy doesn't respond as expected by society as a whole, comes back with the force of a tsunami," the Kirchnerist leader warned.
